  • Peeled pumpkin 500 g
  • Wheat flour 150 g
  • Sunflower oil
  • 1 egg
  • Honey
  • 250 ml of very cold water

Step-by-step instructions for tempura pumpkin with honey cane syrup recipe

Step 1

Cut the pumpkin into sticks of 1 cm on each side.

Step 2

Beat the egg and mix with the water. Add the flour and mix, breaking up any lumps.

Step 3

Heat the oil to 180º in a deep pan, better a saucepan than a frying pan.

Step 4

Dip each piece of pumpkin one by one in the tempura and fry until the batter is golden brown.

Step 5

Drain separately on a rack or absorbent paper.

Step 6

Serve with honey.
