Watermelon tataki with tzatziki recipe

  • Watermelon 500 g
  • Toasted sesame and black sesame
  • Dried Nori seaweed (not essential)
  • Soy sauce 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil 1 tablespoon
  • Modena vinegar 1 tablespoon
  • Sour cream (you can buy it already made)
  • Half a cucumber
  • Mint leaves

Step by step instructions for watermelon tataki with tzatziki sauce recipe

Step 1

Mix 250 ml of whipping cream (25% fat) with half a lemon using a whisk. Let stand for half an hour and add a pinch of salt. Store in refrigerator.

Step 2

Add half a grated cucumber and finely chopped mint leaves to the sour cream, mix well and set aside.

Step 3

In a bowl, mix the balsamic vinegar, soy and sesame oil. Place the watermelon ingots and let them macerate for at least 1 hour.

Step 4

Brown the ingots on all sides in a greased frying pan.

Step 5

Coat with a mixture of sesame seeds and finely crushed seaweed.

Step 6

Cut into 1 cm slices and serve with a touch of Tzatziki sauce.

Step 7

Sprinkle the mint over the sauce.
