Since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis, the two Peris plants have been operating at full capacity, generating daily orders and meeting changes in demand from fruit growers. In the case of the Fresh Cut segment, the format of products to be consumed at home or to prepare dishes has increased, a notable case being pumpkin. On the other hand, “ready-to-eat” tubs usually sold in high street centers have suffered a slight correction due to confinement and bad weather. We have also been active in making donations to institutions and foundations focused on providing food to those who have become unemployed or cannot access a hot meal, we are talking about Banco de Alimentos and Caritas. And we do not forget those who are on the front line, such as the state security forces and members of the civil protection of Pamplona, to whom we have provided tubs of fresh fruit.
