With the support of the Institut Valencià d’Investigacions Agràries – IVIA GVA Agroambient and the determined will of a group of farmers from the different provinces of the Valencian Community, the “Associació de Productors del Garrofó” has begun to take its first steps. The aim of this association is to enhance the value of the best known legume in Valencia thanks to its link with paella, although the association is also thinking of future efforts to support the “fesol de la peladilla”, or the “cocoa del collaret”, among others. Although with the summer and the plantations growing without stopping the activity of the association is less, the work guidelines are clear and are focused on the configuration of a brand, web page and communication and promotion tools.
